It's almost end of the month and I finally made some purchases for this month. Today I bought 36 shares of VOD at $30.87 32 shares of KR at $32.57 If you read my blog you know I was planning to buy VOD - Vodafone for a while because it's trading low and has good dividends (4.93%). Kroger was kind of last minute purchase. I noticed that this stock is trading low and this is one of my favorite stores to shop for grocery besides Aldi. It doesn't pay much dividends (1.49%), but I like this company. Thanks for reading,

I am starting a new series of posts about my boyfriend Jordan's investing into stock market. It is kind of different from my investing style but I thought that some of you might be interested. He is following charts from book "Rule#1" by Phil Town. So he basically reviews stocks MACD, Stochastics and Moving Average charts. Theses charts show when a stock is overbought or oversold. So when charts say a stock is oversold, he buys and he sells when the chart shows that the stock is overbought. Although he keeps some stocks for dividends earnings. This week he purchased: DIS at $95.90, PM at $99.71, LUV at $35.50 and BMY at $63.20 He sold: FIT - He bought it at $12.15 and sold at $15.57, earning 28% in 1.5 months. I wrote how we started Dividend Stocks portfolio for my daughter and keep track of our progress  here . We didn't purchase any new stocks this month. Although she has enough money to invest in her bank account due to her low spendings (and me paying most of her bills right now :)). Next month she will need to purchase books for school. August 7 is going to be one year since we purchased her first 7 stocks. At least 3 of them (T, JNJ and SE) earned 25% or close to 25%. I am thinking I might sell them and rebalance her portfolio. By doing this we will collect earnings and we can add an extra stock to her portfolio. I think she wants to do it. But we will see how market will act in next week. Overall portfolio gain so far is +12.98%, the only stock which is lacking is still LHO.
