Yesterday  I posted my short list to pick from for my purchase. Today I purchased DEO - Diageo plc.  I noticed not so many people know about this stock. Business Summary from Yahoo Finance Diageo plc produces, markets, and sells alcoholic beverages worldwide. It offers scotch and Irish whiskey, gin, vodka, rum, beer and spirits, Irish cream liqueurs, wine, Raki, tequila, Canadian and American whiskey, Cachaça, and brandy, as well as adult beverages and ready to drink products. I didn't purchase as many stocks in 2015 but I was really impressed by the growth of my dividend income in comparison to January 2014/2015. I wrote how we started Dividend Stocks portfolio for my daughter and keep track of our progress  here . In January we purchased RY, which was from my  suggestion list  and AMZN, which was her own choice. When I started this project I basically was pushing my daughter to pick stocks.  Now when she switched her major to Accounting, she started studying Financial Statements of different companies. So after one week in Accounting class she approached me and demanded to invest into Amazon stock.  And I purchased 2 shares of Amazon stock for her.  I know this is not a dividend stock but I thought that she can have at least one stock in her portfolio, which truly was her choice. :) Thanks for reading and I will keep you updated.
